Campus Network

Campus Network at National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata

Under an MoU with the National University of Juridical Sciences(NUJS), Kolkatta, ERNET India has designed the architecture of a fiber optic based gigabit Campus Network connecting academic, admin and finance wings. The network would be extended to Hostels and Guest House through fiber optic cable supporting 10Gigabit Ethernet Technology. Inside the buildings, UTP Cat6 copper cable will connect 750 user Nodes. The network would be deployed using core/zonal/access data switches enabling access to Servers hosting Internet, emailing & anti-virus services at the central location. The network would be Wi-Fi enabled allowing laptop users to connect wirelessly. Firewall and antivirus provisioning will protect and secure the network from viruses, trojans and unauthorized access from outside world. ERNET India has initiated steps for the implementation of the project.
