Ms. Preeti Nath is the Director General of Education and Research Network (ERNET), India.
Ms. Preeti Nath, an accomplished officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES), currently serves as the Director General of ERNET India.
She joined the Indian Economic Service in 1995 and brings with her over three decades of distinguished experience in the fields of economic policy formulation, public administration, and development planning.
She has served in various key positions across the Government of India, including the Planning Commission, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and the Department of Telecommunications.
Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to policy design and implementation in areas such as health economics, rural development, women and child welfare, and economic regulation.
Her strong academic background and extensive administrative experience make her a dynamic leader, committed to leveraging technology and innovation for public good.
At ERNET India, she envisions strengthening the organization’s role as a key digital enabler for research and education networks in India, promoting digital inclusion, and supporting the Government’s mission towards a digitally empowered society.
