Chennai R&D Lab

ERNET India had inaugurated Chennai R&D Lab in IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai on March 17, 2023. The event was graced by Shri. J. Kumaragurubaran, IAS, Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu, Information Technology and Digital Services Department as a chief guest in the presence of Shri. Sanjeev Banzal, Director General, ERNET India, New Delhi and Dr. A Paventhan, Director (R&D) and Centre Head of ERNET Chennai.

The R&D Lab inauguration took place with the ribbon cutting by chief guest, followed by traditional lighting of a lamp and then the walk through including demonstrations of R&D activities on Metro Area Quantum Network (MAQAN) and LiFi technologies. The inaugural event was also graced by Shri. A K Kamal Kishore, I.A.S., Shri E Magesh, Director General of C-DAC, Dr. N. Subramanian, Executive Director of SETS Chennai, Prof. Manivannan, Dept. of Applied Mechanics, IIT Madras, Shri. S. Raghavan, SIO, NIC Tamil Nadu, Shri. Lal Mohan, Director, NIELIT Chennai and officials of IITM Research Park, IITM Pravartak, other State Govt. officials, academic and research experts.
