ERNET India works very closely with the academic and research institutions in the country to integrate the computer network into the learning and research environment. It has provided access and created content for several of the research institutions. UGC-Infonet, a program of the UGC is an overlay on ERNET and provided internet and intranet access to 160 universities across the country. Under MOU with AICTE, ERNET has provided connectivity to AICTE recognized colleges and regional centers. Terrestrial and VSAT connectivity has been established at 48 Institutions. Campus LAN at Delhi University, JNU, Allahabad University, University of Rajasthan has been set up by ERNET India.
