E-Linkage of Kendriya Vidyalayas

Under an MOU, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and ERNET India have agreed to set up KVS–Net connectivity of remote Vidyalayas under KVS, providing them Internet access by utilizing ERNET India services, expertise and networking infrastructure. Training of teachers on awareness and usage of Internet and related applications is part of the agreement. ERNET India connectivity will help Kendriya Vidyalayas to develop them as model and pace-setting institutions to lead the school education system in India and paving the way for the realization of national goals. This will improve quality education through sharing of experience over the network. The connectivity will promote computer literacy programme in the Vidyalayas as well as both students and teachers will be encouraged to use computer as a medium of teaching and learning. ERNET India will also assist KVS as well as Vidyalayas in making use of IT in day-to-day academic & administrative work including the conduct of students, staff performance evaluations, examinations etc and finally leading to a paperless office.
